We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
T.S. Eliot
I have always loved looking through the camera lens, seeing
the wonder of God’s amazing creation; using a macro lens, focusing
on the petals of a rose or the eye of a chameleon, a telephoto lens to
see a mother bird hovering over her nestlings, a wide angle lens to
capture the rainbow over the Rocky mountains or stunning European
architecture, and finally the portrait lens capturing the essence of a
child, always looking for the perfect light. This has been a gift with
which I seek to bring blessing and something of beauty to the world
around me.
I received a degree in Radio-TV-Film and early in my career
worked in a darkroom and as a free-lance photographer back in the
days of film. I built a small business from home so I could raise my
four incredible children as a single parent. They have been the best
gifts of all and now I have grandchildren. I love those babies and the
touch of heaven they bring me. Recently I moved to Dallas to be near
them and start my business anew.
I have received my Masters in Photography through PPA of
which I am currently a member. I am past president of the guild in
San Antonio and earned Photographer of the Year during that time.
Awards over the years have been a thrill, but I am ever striving to
create that perfect portrait, be it a baby, child, family, or a bride. They
are all beautiful!
